Customer Review: connect Wii to your computer monitor
I bought this so that i can use Wii with my LCD computer monitor (VGA input). It works great. I connect my computer also to the monitor through this (no difference in supported resolution or image quality), and use the remote to switch between computer and Wii. I have been using it for more that a month now.
Customer Review: Good for watching tv on your computer monitor
I gave this product 4/5 because the manual isn't very clear, and also because the + tab for the battery in the remote is bent slightly down so the remote won't work if you just drop the battery in place. You have to pry up the tab slightly, then slip the battery in place. (You can use the menu, channel, and volume controls on the side of the box as an alternative to the remote.) Setup is fairly easy, but the manual mentions selecting "search" from the menu, but there is no search option, instead, under the "Channel" option on the menu is "Auto Scan". The 4th page of the manual states how to navigate the menu options (channel buttons), and select your menu option, which is by pressing the "menu" button. The volume buttons are used to change the value. There is a delay of a few seconds after you press the menu button to select a menu option for the sub-menu to appear on screen, during which time, unlike most other menus, the original menu disappears completely and the screen has no menu on it until the sub-menu appears. This might make you think you that nothing is happening. Once the auto scan is complete, you will find that the channel numbers do not correspond to the ones from your cable provider, especially if some of the channels are scrambled. The box applies its own numbers to them based on whether it was able to get a clear signal or not. Picture quality varies, depending I suppose on the quality of the signal. Some channels are very clear, but others are a bit grainy. Sound quality is very good though.

With many consumer electronics music market becoming more and more dynamic and mobile, many , manufacturers have shifted into wireless gadgets which cater to an increasingly mobile market. From cell phones to IPods, people feel the need to break free from their mundane everyday toys which tie them to one place. They now want to go wireless. Traditionally, music speakers have been more or less stationery and attached to the main musical tuner via a spaghetti mesh of cables.

As we are all aware, this arrangement has its inherent dangers. Children playing with these wires can unplug them and interrupt the sound. This is not to mention the danger of tripping and falling on the wires. Convectional speakers with the crisscrossing wires are also unsightly and do not contribute to good interior dcor of the room.

There has also been instances where the wiring and cables from electronic gadgets such as speakers has contributing to fires. The answer to all this is wireless speakers.

Wireless speakers are gaining in popularity. They are small, attractive and because of their lack of wiring running from the musical unit to the speakers. Electronic manufacturers that make wireless speakers cater to the exotic market that is interested in diminutive size without sacrificing the quality of the sound and this is perfectly the case with wireless speakers.

Wireless speakers use the same technology that is used to transmit radio waves only this time it is analog sound waves that are transmitted. Then a device located in the speakers decodes the signal from analog to digital and converts it into sound. All this is done instantaneously. A great advantage with wireless speakers is that the sound can actually be transmitted even through walls. This means that the speakers do not have to be physically located where the musical device is located. This reduces the chances of damaging the tuner or musical receiver. A good example would be placing small surround sound speakers in the bathroom or washroom while the actual digital player is far away in another room where there no risk of water-damage.Wireless speakers can also be placed strategically in different places in the room for maximum sound effect.

Theodore provides information about wireless speakers outdoor and recommends ipod wireless outdoor speakers as the best option for buying.
